Basketball Program

Clinic
basketball is for girls and boys ages 4 to 7 years old.

The
cost for clinic basketball is $40.00.
-
Practice
starts the first Saturday in January.

Practice
is held at the Beltsville community center.

Practices
are held every Saturday form 12:00 to 1:30.
-
The
clinic basketball season is 10 to 12 weeks.

Clinic
basketball teaches basic skills of the game
-
Clinic
basketball gets the players ready to play in a county
basketball league when they turn 8.
-
There
is an Intramural peewee league that 12 - 14 girls/boys will
be chosen to play in. As the other players develop more
skills, they will have a chance to be added to the
Intramural league with the other boys & girls. All
players will practice together.

Games
are on Saturdays and Sundays.
-
All
children will receive participation trophies.

cost of Basketball is $40.00.

are 7-16.

All
membership dues and sports dues must be paid prior to the
start of the season.

All
teams must play county basketball. You will be traveling to
other PG County schools for games.

Call
the commissioner if you are interesting in coaching or
assisting a team. All coaches and assistants are ASEP
trained.

Practice
is 1 to 2 nights a week depending on the coach.
-
Younger
players, 11 and under will practice at 6:00 and the older
players 12 and up will practice at 8:00.
-
The
following gyms are used for practices; High Point HS, Buck
Lodge MS, Martin Luther King MS, Beltsville ES and
Beltsville community center.
-
The
first game is usually the first week in January.
-
Our
home game gym is Buck Lodge Middle School.
-
There
are games every day of the week; schedules will be given to
each player as soon as the commissioner receives them.
Usually the first Thursday of January.
-
Each
team will play 10 to 12 games.
-
Uniforms
are given out the week before games begin.
-
There
is an end of season awards banquet for all basketball
players; there is a fee for the banquet.
-
Uniforms
are to be given to the coach at the last game; players must
bring a change of clothes with them. There is a $50.00
charge for any lost or damages uniform.

If
your child's team has a winning record there will be playoff
games.

Cheerleading

must be a minimum of 5 years old and a maximum of 16 years
old. You must be turning the minimum or maximum age within
the cheerleading year.

cost of cheerleading is $60.00. There are additional fees
throughout the season for shoes, body liner,, and socks.
Other items are optional.
-
All
coaches and assistant are ASEP trained.
-
Registration
and sport fees are due before the start of practice.
-
Practice
nights are 2 nights a week; nights are picked by the coach.
-
The
cheerleading season is from August to November.
-
Teams
are divided by age, not grade.
-
Fundraising
is mandatory for all cheerleaders. If you choose not to
fundraise you must make a $35.00 donation to the BABGC
cheerleading program.
-
Cheerleaders
participate in 3 competitions during the season, if
fundraising allows.
-
There
is a spirit night and pep rally.
-
The
cheerleaders cheer at football games.
-
Uniforms
are issued in September and due back at the end of the
season.
-
There
is an end of the season awards banquet for the cheerleaders
and their families. There is a fee for each cheerleader.

player will receive a T-shirt uniform.

All
players must have soccer cleats and shin guards.

All
games are played in Beltsville against other BABGC teams.

T-Ball
Program

Practices
and games will be held at the BABGC sports park on Powder
Mill Road.

Players
must provide their own glove and cleats.

season runs from the beginning of April to the end of June.
-
T-Ball
is a co-ed sport.
-
Minimum
age to play T-Ball is 4. Child must be 4 before April 1st to
participate.
-
Maximum
age to play T-Ball is 6 for boys and 7 for girls. Children
must meet age requirement by April 1st. Boys turning 7
before April 1st must play coaches pitch instead of T-Ball.
-
All
games are played against BABGC/ St. Joseph's teams.
-
All
games will be played on Thursdays.
-
Practice
is 2 nights a week for 1 hour. The coach decides practice
nights.
-
Once
games begin you will have 1 practice night and 1 game.
-
All
players will be issued a T-shirt uniform. Hats are available
for sale at practice.
-
Each
team will play a minimum of 6 games.
-
At
the end of the season every player receives a trophy.

Girls
Softball Program

Age
for softball is 8-18.

10
and under softball is coach pitch softball.

Practice
is held 2 nights a week for 11/2 hour. The coach
determines the practice nights.

The
season runs from March to June. Practice may start as soon
as there is a full registration.

All
teams play county softball and will travel to other fields
in the county for games.
-
Uniforms
will be issued for players use and must be returned at the
end of the season.

All
coaches have ASEP training.
-
Need
to supply your own softball glove; BABGC will supply the
bats and balls. You may bring your own bat to use if you
prefer.
-
Home
games are played at the Beltsville Community Center.
-
There
is an end of season awards picnic, there is a family fee.

games are played at Duval field in College Park.

All
coaches and assistant coaches have ASEP training.

Baseball
Program
